Photo of Dr. Gary Namie Dr. Gary Namie has a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of California. He taught graduate and undergraduate courses at several universities, including the University of Southern California and Scripps College, in departments of psychology and management. And he won distinguished teacher awards on campus at the University of California, Santa Barbara and from the American Psychological Association. He developed and taught the first university course on Psychological Violence At Work.

He was also a corporate manager for two regional hospital systems as Director of Organization Development.

Gary is Principal Consultant for The Work Doctor®. From 1985-1997 for TWD, Gary was a consultant to government agencies and companies in the U.S. and Europe, on projects ranging from public program evaluation to quality measurement and improvement.

Since 1998, TWD's focus is the proprietary Blueprint for a Bullying-Free Workplace system.

Dr. Gary Namie also serves as an expert witness educating courts. He testified in a landmark Indiana case in March, 2005 dubbed the first U.S. "bullying trial."

photo of Dr. Ruth Namie Dr. Ruth Namie has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Her three-part professional career began in management. She was Executive Corporate Training Director for two Sheraton Hotels in Hawaii.

During and after her clinical training, Dr. Namie spent several years counseling individuals and families grappling with various forms of chemical dependency. Dr. Namie is not now a licensed psychologist nor does she practice psychology as part of Work Doctor consulting.

Since 1998, she has coached thousands of bullied individuals, both women and men. Lessons from targets, coupled with her business experience and academic training, make Dr. Ruth Namie an expert in Work Trauma, the effects of repeated, unremitting bullying and humiliation.

Dr. Ruth Namie co-designed the Blueprint for a Bullying-Free Workplace, our comprehensive solution to systemic bullying in organizations.
