He taught graduate and undergraduate courses at several universities, including the University of Southern California and Scripps College, in departments of psychology and management. And he won distinguished teacher awards on campus at the University of California, Santa Barbara and from the American Psychological Association. He developed and taught the first university course on Psychological Violence At Work. He was also a corporate manager for two regional hospital systems as Director of Organization Development.
