Every industrialized nation assures the safety of workers in designated "protected status" groups
by prohibiting workplace harassment and discrimination.
But since the mid-1990's several progressive nations and states have enacted laws to address the broader problem of abusive work environments -- or bullying -- regardless of who is targeted and who is the harasser.
That means employers in European Union nations, Britain, some Australian states and Quebec have to guard against bullying.
Of course, smart employers voluntarily choose to stop their internal bullies BEFORE they wreak havoc with the bottom line. They know that employers create the work environment -- positive or destructive.
You, too, can be in control, before being compelled by a law. It is simply good business to purge bullies. They cost too much! They demoralize staff! They undermine your bottom line, your legitimate business interests!
